By using Snap2Txt ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Snap2Txt is a free OCR tool powered by Google Cloud Vision API. It converts text in images into machine-readable text. Images are processed securely via Google's cloud infrastructure and are never stored after processing. The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service responsibly and not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
Use the Service to extract text from documents you do not have the right to process
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise modify the Service
Use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage
Submit images containing content that violates applicable laws

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

OCR technology is not perfect. While Google Cloud Vision provides industry-leading accuracy (typically 98%+ for clear printed text), results depend on image quality, language, font, and other factors. You should always verify the extracted text against the original image. We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the OCR output.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to images you upload and text you extract. Images are processed by Google Cloud Vision API and are not retained by either Snap2Txt or Google after the result is returned. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any images you upload.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. The website frontend is built with open-source frameworks (Next.js, React). The OCR processing is powered by Google Cloud Vision API, subject to Google's Terms of Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided free of charge and "as is." In no event shall we be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
